BOOK A DECKCHAIR

Sit in comfort to watch the children play, the barges sail by or simply soak up the sunshine or enjoy a picnic.

Deckchairs have to be booked and paid for online, after which you are given a code to unlock your chosen chair from a nearby storage area. Make sure you return your chair at the end of the hire period to ensure you pay the correct amount.

A limited number of director's chairs, which are higher and easier to get in and out of, are also available to rent.

Hire Instructions 

  • You will receive a booking confirmation including 2 codes, The door code will allow access to the Main door, the second will allow you to release the code lock on the deckchair. The door code must be entered to open the door and again to close the door and secure the unit. The same process is used to return the deckchair at the end of hire period. Please ensure the deckchair is placed in the correct location and numbered door. Your codes will only be applicable for your allocated hire and are then reset. Please ensure you use the door code to open and close the door at start of hire and again at the end of hire. This activates / deactivates your hire period.

  • Your allocated deckchair will be fitted with a combination lock. Keep this lock on the chair whilst carrying the frame to ensure it doesn’t unfold and cause injury.

  • Please ensure you have read and fully understood the instructions below on the safe use of a deckchair All our deckchairs are fitted with safety catches to ensure self-folding. Please ensure your deckchair is set up correctly and the rod is secure within the safety catches. The maximum weight allowance for deckchair use is 110kg

 

HOW TO SET UP A DECKCHAIR

  1. Stand the folded deckchair vertically with both folding arms pointing upwards.
  2. Rotate the longer notched arm away from the frame.
  3. Rotate the shorter arm towards the longer one and engage the horizontal bar in one of the notches
  4. Ensure the deckchair is placed on level ground.
  5. Adjust the seating angle ensuring the base rod is secured within safety catches

 

 

  • Should the deckchair not be returned within the booking time period or returned damaged, we will invoice you a sum of £30.00 and this amount will be debited from your payment card. It is your responsibility to ensure the deckchair is returned to the correct Location and door.

  • The Deckchair huts are continually monitored and all deckchairs are inspected prior to hire. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure they check the deckchair for any damage on collection, any damage should be photographed and The Deckchair Hut booking app. If damage is not notified to the company at the start of the hire period, the hirer will be held responsible for the damages.
